The old Dalaba Hotel, also known as the Fouta Hotel or SIB Hotel (SIB stands for Sadiga Ibrahima Bah, the hotel’s late owner).
It was constructed by the colonial administration and administered by the Société des Chargeurs réunis, a French maritime commerce company, during the colonial period (hence the name of the district: the Chargeur).
The hotel was built in colonial times by the company of the assembled Chargers, a French maritime commerce whose district takes its name. Restored in 1995, it regained its former elegance, which makes him, without hesitation, the most beautiful hotel of the Fouta. If you get off on the terrace in the shade of a kouratier is guaranteed enchantment. No fan and no mosquito net. But there is not necessarily required.
