Tsam Tsam is an ecotourism destination near Lambaréné, Gabon, on Lake Oguemoue. Guests are accommodated on quiet lakeside platforms with spacious tents and breathtaking views. Forest walks, canoe cruises, lake tours, night safaris, village visits, and other activities are led by professional guides. Traditional Gabonese meals are prepared by local women using locally obtained vegetables and seafood from sustainable fishing cooperatives. OELO, a Gabonese non-profit established by local individuals who want to protect wildlife while also creating jobs, came up with the idea for the project. The proceeds stay entirely in the Bas Ogooué Ramsar Site, which is the world’s largest wetland of international significance.
