The Gisakura Guest House is located 2 kilometers outside of Nyungwe National Park, near the Gisakura Tea Estate, on the road leading from the park to the former Cyangugu town of Rusizi.
Its accommodations are both inexpensive and comfortable. There are three types of rooms, each with a shower and constant hot water. Because of its proximity to the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) office (formerly ORTPN) and RDB Reception for chimpanzee tracking or any other visit in Nyungwe National Park, it is a perfect spot to be based when you want to tour the Park with very friendly, hospitable people.
The Waterfall Trail, Canopy Walk, Colobus troop living on the Gisakura Tea Estate, Vervet monkeys, a decent variety of birds are present in the small piece of woodland in front of the rest-house, and many more trails in the Park are all within easy reach. You arrive in the Uwinka center in a short period.
Our lodging is both inexpensive and comfortable. There are three types of rooms, each with a shower. Don’t worry, hot water is always accessible when needed thanks to an electric heater.
Book your room earlier and confirm one week before coming because you get at Guest House being sure of the availability of rooms or other services needed.
