Historical Tour of Sudan

Historical Tour of Sudan – Visit Khartoum, where the National Museum includes artwork from Upper Nubian temples as well as the Faras Cathedral. On your historical tour of Sudan, you will also get the opportunity to see the confluence of the Blue and White Niles. From Khartoum, one can see the House of the Khalifa, Omdurman’s bazaar, and Nagaa’s historic religious complex, which contains the Temple of Amun, a Roman church, and the Lion Temple. On the way to Meroe, stop in Musawwarat to see the temple complex and its amazing elephant sculptures. Meroe, often known as Nubia, is located along the Nile River. One of the 200 or so pyramids in this incredibly limited region is the Meroe Pyramid, which was constructed 800 years after the final Egyptian pyramid.
