DAY 1: ARRIVE ACCRA, GHANA

Upon arrival in Accra – you will be met assisted and transferred to your hotel. Other activities today will depend on your arrival time and preference.

DAY 2: DAY 2: ACCRA | AKOSOMBO | TAFI ATOME | WLI

Depart from Accra and travel to one of the stunning regions of Ghana, Volta Region. We stop at Akosombo for a picturesque boat cruise on the Volta Lake giving in views of the cradle of Ghana’s first source of power, Akosombo dam. Continue your drive across the Adomi bridge to Wli. Hike to the foot of Wli Waterfalls, the largest and highest waterfall in Ghana. Wli Waterfalls is divided into two sections with ice cold water flowing from a height of about 80ft. On route to the waterfall, you will hike through the lush greenery of the Agumatsa Forest Reserve where you will cross the same river eleven times before reaching the breathtaking falls. Accommodation this evening will be next to the Falls.

DAY 3:WLI | SHIARE | MOLE

Following breakfast, we depart to the Mole National Park in Ghana’s Savannah Region. We will see the Kyabobo National Park, which lies at the foot of Mount Djobobo on the border with Togo to visit the Hanging Village of the Akyode (also known as Shiare Village) with remote ethnic group that is cut off from the rest of civilization. Most of the villagers are African Traditionalists and rely on fetish priests for spiritual guidance. After your interaction with the villagers, we continue to Mole National Park with a brief stop at Larabanga Mosque & the Mystic Stone. Arrive at your luxury lodge in the African jungle in time for dinner. The rest of the evening is at leisure

DAY 4: MOLE

We embark on an early morning safari in the park. Discover the true wildlife gem of the Mole National Park as you take a once in a lifetime early morning drive safari. The park is well known for being a great site for birding with over 200 identified bird species, colorful butterflies, and magnificent reptiles. In the company of your experienced and knowledgeable safari guide, you will enjoy the sights of the untamed but friendly African Bush Elephant, African Buffalo, Olive Baboon, Hyena, Red-flanked Duiker, Roan Antelope, common Warthog, Vervet Monkeys, Hartebeest and the Bushbuck. Breakfast upon return to the motel. After lunch we depart to Mognori Eco-village which is located about 15km from Mole. Explore the village on a community walk where you may see a cultural performance before you take a canoe safari on the Mole River. After the canoe safari you will have the opportunity to learn how Shea nuts are collected from indigenous trees and processed into high quality organic Shea butter and the job opportunities this industry creates for the women in the community. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 5: MOLE | FIEMA | KUMASI

After breakfast, e depart the Mole to southern Ghana passing through several Savannah villages. We will make a stop at Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, Ghana’s most famous example of traditional African conservation. The sanctuary is nestled between the two villages of Boabeng and Fiema; the sanctuary is home to over 200 Geoffrey’s Pied Columbus and 500 Campbell’s Mona Monkeys. For more than 150 years the people of Boabeng and Fiema have considered the monkeys sacred. The traditional beliefs in both communities prohibit harm to the monkeys. Arrive in Kumasi early evening and enjoy a drive through the city with monuments dedicated to Ashanti Traditional rulers.

DAY 6: KUMASI | ACCRA

After breakfast, we check-out and make our journey to Accra on a 6hr drive with stops. Reaching Accra, you will be checked into your hotel with dinner at the hotel and having the rest of day for rest from the long travel.

DAY 7: DEPART ACCRA

Enjoy the morning at leisure! Later today, you will be transferred to the airport where you will say goodbye to your tour guide and leave with memories you will cherish for a lifetime.
