Following breakfast, we will begin our trip with a magnificent drive through the city center, passing by Independence Square, the Presidential Palace, and the main church before arriving at the Soumbedioune market and the Mosque de la Revelation. This trip will show you the distinction between beautiful residential areas and popular neighborhoods. Visit the lively Kermel market, where people sell and purchase fresh vegetables and seafood, or the Tillem market, where you can shop for textiles and a variety of other local items. We then visit two of Dakar's most popular attractions: the highest point in West Africa, the Monument de la Renaissance Africaine, and the vast Museum of Black Civilization. After lunch at a restaurant, we drive a short distance to the port and cruise to Famous Goree Island to taste Senegalese delicacies and drinks. Goree Island, 20 minutes from Dakar, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that functioned as a significant slave transit station before to deportation to America. Listen to the curator's discussion about slavery in West Africa in general, and the slaves' conditions in Goree in particular, before seeing the slaves' abode and its door of no return. Wander the streets and explore the islands, meeting and engaging with residents, especially craft men and women who make and sell various items. Return to Dakar, where our driver will meet you and transport you to your accommodation. Refresh and dine at a neighborhood restaurant to sample Senegalese food and beverages. Drive to Pink Lake, which is isolated from the Atlantic Ocean by thin sand dunes, after breakfast. The presence of Artemia Salina Bacteria, as well as the high salt concentration (380g / Liter), contribute to the pink tint of the lake. This implies that the lake is 11 times saltier than the Atlantic Ocean and ranks second in salinity only to the Dead Sea. In actuality, the salt concentration of the lake varies with the seasons and the quantity of sunlight, and its color fluctuates from pale mauve to deep pink. Interact with the salt harvesters and swim or float in the 1.5-meter-deep lake. Take quads, a buggy, or a Jeep to the sand dunes and the shore. Eat at one of the several restaurants. We'll take a short trip to Bandia National Park, which is located in the heart of a classified forest and spans over 2,000 hectares. Set off on a three-hour safari through a Baobab and acacia woodland to see primarily herbivorous wild wildlife such as buffalos, antelopes, impalas, gazelles, elands, kudu, giraffes, rhinos, monkeys, and zebras... Among the bird species are little hornbills, eagles, vultures, kingfishers, and grey herons. We'll visit a rare baobab tree for an archeological course; the Griots' grave. Griots were caste people who were storytellers, drummers, and singers, and when they died, they were typically buried inside the hollows of singers, and trees. We'll learn more about these individuals from our local guide. After a drink at the tavern along the crocodile river, drive to Saly beach. Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner
