Day 1 KIGALI, RWANDA

Arrive Kigali; meet assist and transfer to the hotel. Meal(s) Included: No Overnight at Hotel Des Milles Collines Kigali or Similar

Day 2 Kigali- Volcano National Park

After breakfast go on a City tour of Kigali. Highlights will include: The genocide memorial, The ancient Rwandan kingdom The mosque quarter in Nyamirambo The National museum in Butare Drive to Volcano National Park for overnight Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight at Mountain Gorillas Nest or Similar

Day 3 Volcano National Park (Gorilla Trekking)

After breakfast listen to a briefing from the park headquarters before heading out on your memorable gorilla tracking experience. The trek may take 1-8 hours, depending on the movement of the animals in their natural environment. A maximum of one hour will be allowed with the Gorillas. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight at Mountain Gorillas Nest or Similar

Day 4 Volcanoes National Park (Excursion to Dian Fossey’s Grave)

After breakfast, trek to the site of Dian Fossey’s grave; through trails with tracks of forest buffalo, elephants, primates and birds. The grave is nestled between the volcanic peaks of Karismbi and Visoke. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight at Mountain Gorillas Nest or Similar

Day 5 Volcanoes National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast transfer to the Uganda Border and into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, traveling through the Switzerland of Africa; across hills and valleys with distant views of the volcanoes. Meet assist and transfer to the hotel.In the evening walk to the nearby Batwa (Pygmies) communities for entertainment and to learn more about local culture. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight at Gorilla’s Nest Lodge or Similar

Day 6 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After early breakfast, we shall proceed to park offices with packed lunch for a briefing about the Dos and Don’ts while with gorillas. Tracking can take 2-9 hours depending on their movements. Tracking involves walking up steep and densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. You will stay with these Giant apes for 1 hour for observation and photography. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight at Gorilla’s Nest Lodge or Similar

Day 7 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Continue tour of Bwindi National Park. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight at Gorilla’s Nest Lodge or Similar

Day 8 Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park; Uganda’s most popular National Park. The park has diverse vegetation ranging from the open Savannah and Rain Forest, to dense Papyrus Swamps and is also famous for its Crater lakes. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive in search of Leopards, Lions, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Ugandan kobs, and warthogs. Day 9 Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, go on a game drive in the Ishasha region of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its climbing lions. After lunch, enjoy a cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which joins Lake Edward and Lake George; this waterway is filled with schools of hippos and buffalos. Elephants are often spotted on the banks. Day 10 Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kibale National Park

After breakfast, drive to Kibale National park. Afternoon at leisure or walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary; see primates like Bush babies and Colobus monkeys and other various species of fauna and flora. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight at Ndali Lodge or Similar

Day 11 Kibale National Park

After breakfast, meet at Park headquarters for a brief orientation on chimpanzee trekking. This trek will expose you to primates like the Colobus Monkeys, Vervet, red-tailed monkeys, the Grey Cheeked Mangabeys, Olive Baboons, and over 350 bird species. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight at Ndali Lodge or Similar

Day 12 Kampala

After breakfast, return to Kampala with a stop at; Masaka for lunch and The Nabusanke Trading Center, where you can stand on the equator, and also shop for Souvenirs. Arrive Kampala in late afternoon; transfer to Hotel. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight at The Fairway Hotel Kampala or Similar

Day 13 Kampala- Depart

After breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of Kampala. Highlights will include cultural sites such as : The Kasubi Tombs- the burial place for the Buganda Kings The Namirembe Diocese: the oldest Diocese in Uganda, The Bahai Temple Rubaga Hill where the St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral stand overlooking the City Uganda Museum: with a display of Uganda’s cultural heritage African craft markets Afterward, transfer to airport for flight back home.
