Its architectural details reflect the Islamic influences that once shaped Portugal and echo the region’s deep connections to North Africa. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, savoring traditional Portuguese dishes such as bacalhau or caldo verde, paired with regional wine. Spend the afternoon exploring cultural spaces that host exhibitions and workshops celebrating Coimbra’s artistic heritage. Return to Lisbon and unwind at your four-star hotel.

After breakfast, enjoy leisure time before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Ghana. Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, proceed through immigration, claim your luggage, and clear customs. Once you exit the terminal, our experienced cultural tour guide will be there to greet you. You will be transferred to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Should the airport forex bureau be open at the time of your arrival, you will be directed to change your currency if you wish. At any time during your tour, you may ask your guide to assist you with currency exchange.
Upon arrival at your hotel, complete the check-in process and settle into your room.

Today marks the beginning of your wonderful experience in Motherland. On your first full day in Ghana, after a sumptuous buffet breakfast at your hotel, we set off for the tour of Ghana’s capital Accra and its vicinity, passing through economic and administrative districts.
· Take an introductory tour of Ghana at the National Museum. The complex consists of three thematic galleries: ‘Ghana’s Past’; ‘Traditions’; and ‘The Artistic Culture of the Country’. The galleries respectively feature exhibits of Africa from the ancient period; sculptures and canvases by renowned masters of the past and the present; examples of traditional dress, local musical instruments, and sacred tribal artefacts such as Ashanti ancestral chairs.
· Continue with a drive through the Independence Square where Ghana hosts most of her national ceremonies and take some amazing photo memoirs at the Black Star Square.
· Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the final resting place of Ghana’s first president driving past the Independence Square where you will see the enclosed flame of African liberation, which was lit by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1961.
· Just adjoining the Memorial Park is the Accra Arts & Crafts Centre, how about trying out your bargaining skills at the largest open market in Accra whiles you shop for some stunning authentic African wear, arts, and crafts as souvenirs for family and friends back home, you will have the opportunity to experience some of Accra’s most authentic shopping outlets.
· Last visit to W.E.B DuBois former home, now a museum and Centre for the Study of Pan Africanism.

After a sumptuous breakfast, check out and depart to the Cape Coast & Elmina. Un-route, visit Assin Manso, Slave River is the burial site of two former slaves from the U.S. and Jamaica whose remains were re-interred in August 1998 during Ghana’s first Emancipation Day celebration. You will see the ‘Slave River’ where captured Africans were washed before being confined in the Slave castles to await shipment to the Americas and the Caribbean. Proceed to the Cape Coast Castle and Museum for a guided tour. Cape Coast Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the home to the “Door of No Return”.

After breakfast, check out and take a visit to Elmina Castle, originally called Fort Sao Jorge de Elmina – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, completed in 1486 and was the first European made structures built in sub-Saharan Africa. Continue to Kakum National Park. Kakum is one of Ghana’s most famous parks. Take a brief walking tour on the forest floor; see birds, butterflies and perhaps catch a glimpse of the forests over 40 species of mammals including monkeys and the reclusive forest elephant. Proceed to the canopy walk. Kakum is home to Africa’s only aerial walkway through the tree canopy, a 1000-foot-long and seven-bridge walkway with viewing platforms that reach heights of over 150 feet above ground. Upon your return to the Accra. Proceed with check in, relax and later freshen up and make your way to Yaya Restaurant for dinner.

Following a leisure breakfast, we depart to Ada Foah, located 2 hours’ drive away from Ghana’s Capital, Accra. En-route, we will visit the Nkyinkyim Museum. This is breathtaking, a great initiative and a must visit where one feel and empathize and be grateful for the freedom we have now as a continent and true depiction of our present, past, and future as a people. We continue to Aqua Safari Resort, a top eco-friendly luxury getaway resort in the heart of Ada Foah. This is where you enjoy an ideal blend of a stunning beach, picturesque village tours, topped off with some sun. You will also unravel a rich and inspiring history of the local people. Arrive in time for a late mouth-watering lunch (prepared with fresh farm produce) which you can take right at the riverfront or taken from the serene chalet garden. The choice is yours! After lunch, take a relaxing boat cruise to the Mangroves and Island to explore the Safari Eco-parks. Return to Accra early evening.

Morning at leisure. Later, with the assistance of your guide, you go for last minute shopping if time permits and later transferred to the airport in time to catch your departure flight home. After this trip you will forever view the motherland in the positive light it deserves.
