Day 2: MORNING DEPARTURE TO GHADAMES THROUGH NALUT (600 KM)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart towards Ghadames via Nalut. This scenic drive offers varied landscapes, with a stop at Qasr El Haj, a small village with collective granaries. In the ghost town of Nalut, visit the fortified collective granaries.

Lunch. Continue through the coastal plains, gradually entering a desert region with herds of camels. Arrive in Ghadames in the late afternoon.

Day 4: GHADAMES – BERBER AREA – BACK TO TRIPOLI

After exploring the oasis city of Ghadames, your journey begins its transition back to the coast. You will drive through the fascinating Berber mountain region, offering glimpses of unique villages and ancient fortifications (Ksour) that cling to the hillsides.

This scenic drive provides a final look at the rugged inland landscape before you return to the capital city of Tripoli.

Day 5: TRIPOLI – LEPTIS MAGNA – TRIPOLI (250 KM)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart at 8:00 a.m. for a full-day visit to Leptis Magna, the grand “African Rome” of Emperor Septimius Severus. Explore the magnificent triumphal arch, Hadrian’s Baths, the Forum, the Market, the Theater, the ancient Port, and the Circus. Lunch during the visit.

Return to Tripoli around 5:00 p.m.

Special dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6: TRIPOLI – SABRATHA – TRIPOLI (150 KM)

Visit the archaeological museum in Tripoli, then the Medina.

Lunch, then head to Sabratha. This site, once a simple Phoenician stopover, became a Carthaginian trading post and eventually a Roman city. Explore the lavish villas, public and private baths, and the magnificent theater with its pavonazzo columns and pulpitum adorned with intricate bas-reliefs.

Return to Tripoli for dinner and overnight stay.
