You are welcomed, helped, and driven to the Hotel Radisson Blu for dinner and overnight after arriving at Bamako international airport. Meal(s) Included: No Hotel: Azalai Grand Hotel
After breakfast, head towards Segou. We stopped in Bambara village along the journey to learn about their culture and way of life. Sekoro, the former capital of the Bambara Kingdom, will be your final stop. The direct descendent of the King, the vestibule where the King would meet his guests, the King's tomb, a brief walk down the bank of the river Niger, and the Mosque the King constructed for his mother will all be included in this visit. Continue to Segou, where you will check into the Hotel Esplanade, which is situated beside the Niger River. You will go to the mud cloth painting workshop in the afternoon to learn about and even try out the techniques. Drive to colonial structures to complete your tour before shopping at the riverbank potteries from Kalabougou. After dinner, go to the hotel to spend the night. Following breakfast at the hotel, depart for Sikasso, stopping along the way at Terekoungo, a Bobo village well-known for its sacred spring, fetish, and millet beer production. While traveling through a lovely savannah landscape, halt in some interesting communities. Visit the Hotel La Chaumiere for lunch before taking a market walking tour in Koutiala. Continue to Sikasso, which is also known as Mali's "green belt" because of the abundance of vegetables growing there. The area is known as "White Gold" since it produces the most cotton. After breakfast at the hotel, explore Sikasso, and take time to visit the Senoufo Center, a fascinating museum where you can learn about Senoufo culture. Continue to Mamelon Hill, an artificial hill where the king would welcome visitors. You may see a lovely view of the city from there. Visit the King Tieba Traore Mausoleum (1866–1893) after that, and then the home of his Marabout Keletigui Berthe. Visit the Cultural Center to observe the remnants of the protective Tata Wall. This wall was constructed by the King to defend the Capital against invaders. Travel to several important monuments. Hotel lunch. You will go outside of the city in the afternoon to Zerelaba, a traditional Senoufo village, where you will watch a traditional balafon performance. After breakfast at the hotel, continue to Bamako, stopping at a few villages along the road. When you get to Bamako, check into your hotel and relax by the pool. Dinner and a hotel stay are included. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Hotel Cinquantenaire
After breakfast, you'll go to various significant landmarks and have a city tour of Bamako that includes the hill of health, the recycling market, the national museum, and the crafts market. You will be taken to the airport for your next trip, depending on the flight time. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast
BAMAKO – NANA KENIEBA – BAMAKO – DEPARTURE After breakfast, leave the hotel to explore the origin of civilisation. You will travel to Nana-Kenieba, a village that once housed over 300 Dogon families, but they were forced to leave due to the security situation. A Dogon mask dancing performance will be shown to you. Drive to Siby and explore the vestibule, Kamandjan Arch, and the cave where the King kept his fetishes. Discover Mali's past, from the Mande Kingdom through the Mali Empire. After supper, return to Bamako and then take a taxi to the airport to catch your next flight.
