Ilala Lodge is a beautiful and isolated ambiance that offers quality yet inexpensive accommodations. The decor harkens back to a bygone era of African exploration and adventure. The hotel is in a great location, adjacent to both Victoria Falls and the town center. The front of the property is bordered by the National Park, and wild animals frequently graze on the hotel grounds while the spray of the falls plays in the background.
Ilala Lodge has 32 rooms, including 24 twins, eight doubles, and two suites. All rooms feature an en suite bathroom with a separate shower, air conditioning, an overhead fan, and satellite TV, as well as complimentary tea/coffee and a fruit basket in the morning. The rooms are large, with teak railway sleeper furnishings and patio doors leading to either an open lawn or a balcony with a view of the falls spray from the top-level suites.
