Kaparota Camp is located in the Vumbura Community Development Concession on a peaceful and shaded island. A tiny channel flows in front of the camp, and the island is covered in large sausage trees. Some of the animals that can be seen are the lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, and red lechwe. The White-Headed Vulture, African Hawk-Eagle, Roufusnaped Lark, Meyers Parrot, and Pel’s fishing owl are among the many types of birds found in the area.
Game drives, guided walks (at the camp manager’s discretion), and mokoro rides are all available at Kaparota. Game drives are led by expert guides in open 4×4 Land Rovers. Night drives are available throughout all year, however, they may be limited for a few months in the middle of the year if flood levels are particularly high. The diversity of fauna here is incredible. Guests can see Hippos, Crocodiles, Red Lechwe, and other aquatic species by boat in the morning, and then see elephants, Sable, and other dry savannah games by Land Rover in the afternoon.
