Prepare for your first amazing gorilla tracking excursion after breakfast. Attend a quick orientation at Park Headquarters on what to do and not to do when around gorillas. Gorillas are unpredictable animals, and depending on their actions, it might take 2–9 hours. You will spend an hour observing and taking pictures of these enormous gorillas. After that, spend the rest of the evening at your leisure or go to a local neighborhood to engage in social contact and discover more about its culture.

Drive to the tomb of American primatologist and "Gorillas in the Mist" author Diana Fossey after breakfast. At the old Karisoke Research Center, where she worked almost 20 years researching and acclimating mountain gorillas, is where her burial is located. Hike through a lovely bamboo forest and dense Afro-montane ecosystems, passing by the paths of forest elephants and buffalo. As you ascend and descend to Karisoke, which is tucked between the volcanic peaks of Karismbi and Visoke, you may see various monkeys and bird species.

After breakfast, travel for Uganda's Lake Bunyonyi, which is renowned for its incredibly picturesque islands and diverse birdlife. Meet the driver and take them to the hotel. After lunch, take a canoe journey to see the stunning Lake Bunyonyi Islands and enjoy some good bird viewing.

After breakfast, proceed to the park office for a second briefing on the proper behavior when among gorillas. When pursuing gorillas in Uganda, you must climb high, heavily wooded slopes before you can spot them hidden in the undergrowth. You will spend an hour observing and taking pictures of these giant apes.

Leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast. Travel through the Ishasha area in the south, where the renowned tree-climbing lions are found, and over lovely rolling hills. After lunch, take a cruise down the Kazinga waterway, where there are the most hippos in all of Africa. With over 610 kinds of birds and hundreds of Nile crocodiles, the avian life in this area is astonishing. Elephant and buffalo herds may be seen drinking water on the waterway. The boat offers a clean surface for taking pictures.

Drive to the neighboring Kyambura Gorge after an early breakfast to search for the elusive and quick-moving wild chimpanzees. The sole family of domesticated chimpanzees in Africa may be found in Kyambura Gorge. Although watching is uncertain due to the chimpanzee population's rapid movement, the voyage is fascinating. Red-tailed monkeys, Vervet, Black, and White colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and the Giant forest hog are among the other primates that may be spotted. Before dusk, take a wildlife drive around the Mweya peninsula.

Drive to Kibale Forest National Park, following the Rwenzori Range, after lunch. En way, see large game.
