Experience the bustling city of Accra today which is a blend of modern buildings and old structures that existed during colonial times. This 120-year-old city has a number of historical things to offer as you set off after a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel, passing through the economic and administrative districts.

We make a stop at the Makola Market, which is the biggest open market in Accra for a real-time African (Local) Market experience. This fascinating market has been compartmentalized into various sections to make shopping easy for buyers. With the help of your tour guide, you will have the chance to walk through this unusual busy market and try out your bargaining skills for some beautiful products, food items, African fabrics, footwear, and jewelry.

We then continue to the Accra Arts and Crafts Market also known as National Cultural Centre, which is Ghana’s largest outdoor arts and crafts market selling traditional crafts from all over West Africa.

Following lunch (on your own account), we make our way to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the final resting place of Ghana’s first president. Set in attractive gardens, there is an adjoining museum, which contains photos, artifacts, and insight into Dr. Nkrumah’s life.

We drive through Independence Square where you will see the enclosed flame of African Liberation, which was lit by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1961.

We end the day’s exploration at the W.E.B Du Bois Centre honoring the life of the prominent Pan-Africanist who chose to live and work in Ghana.

This evening, you may enjoy drinks & dinner at the Sky Bar (on your own account).

After breakfast, we set off further east to explore Ghana’s authentic culture. En route, we stop at Dodowa to visit the TK beads, experts in making beautiful traditional beads using ancient methods. Your guide will talk you through the skilled process of making the beads. Beads are culturally a symbol of wealth and beauty here in Ghana and are still used during traditional durbars and festivals. After the demonstration, we can admire and purchase a wide selection of beads that have been made here in the onsite shop.

Continue to the Aburi Botanical Garden for a guided tour of Garden.

Enjoy lunch (on your own account) at the Royal Gardens at the Botanical Garden.

We cape off our Eastern adventure with a visit to the picturesque Obosomase Waterfalls. Here, enjoy the natural scenery of the beautiful falls and a cool icy dip in its alluring pool.

Upon arrival in Accra, you may enjoy some sumptuous Ghanaian meals (on your own account) at the Buka Restaurant before transferring to your hotel.

Today, after early breakfast, we depart for yet another adventure of the Coastal lands of Ghana- Cape Coast. Upon arrival, you will take a tour of Kakum National Park, one of Ghana's most famous parks. The park is an undisturbed rain forest, extending over an area of 357km square with some of the trees as high as 65 meters. Take a brief walking tour on the forest floor where you will learn how our ancestors lived in the forest. See birds, butteries, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the forests of over 40 species of mammals including monkeys and the reclusive forest elephant. Proceed to the canopy walk. Kakum is home to Africa’s only aerial walkway through the tree canopy, 1000-foot-long and even-bridge walkway with viewing platforms that reach heights over 150 feet above the ground. We continue to Cape Coast with a lunch stop (on your own account) at Han’s Cottage, a rather tranquil haven, built over a lake containing Nile crocodiles and set in a beautiful location surrounded by tropical rainforest. You may have interactions with these reptiles with the aid of the in-house designated and specialized guide.

Experience an emotional journey visiting Cape Coast Castle which held more enslaved Africans captive than any other in the region, viewing the dungeons and the infamous “Door of no return”. Cape Coast Castle was designated a world heritage site by UNESCO. There is a magnificent historical museum inside, which explains the whole history of the castle and Cape Coast itself.

Following a leisure breakfast, we depart for an adventurous experience at Aqua Safari Resort, a top eco-friendly luxury getaway resort in the heart of Ada Foah, located 2 hours’ drive away from Ghana’s capital, Accra. This is where you enjoy an ideal blend of stunning beach, picturesque village tours, topped off with some sun. You will also unravel a rich and inspiring history of the local people.

Upon arrival at the resort, take a relaxing boat cruise to the Mangroves and Island to explore the work of the local gin producers on the Island who is committed to responsible tourism and environmental protection.

Arrive back from the cruise in time for a mouthwatering lunch (prepared with fresh farm produce) which you can take right at the beach or taken from the serene chalet garden. The choice is yours! After lunch, there are also varieties of activities you can choose from. You can take a leisure ride on a bike through Ada township and commune with nature, or enjoy the thrill of your first catch of Barracuda, Dorado, Tuna Mackerel, etc or grab the opportunity of going kayaking or canoeing with the resort’s GHALDA certified staff and have some fun.

The second Group departs Ghana today. Members of the group will be picked up and transferred to the airport in time for your onward flight.
