Itinerary

Day 1: JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

The party will be welcomed upon arrival in Johannesburg and transported to the prestigious 5-star Protea Hotel Balalaika. Before this evening's orientation and welcome supper, unwind and take it easy.

Day 2: RISE TO FREEDOM TOUR/SOWETO/APARTHEID MUSEUM

Spend the whole day learning about South Africa's turbulent past on the "Rise to Freedom" trip. View renowned South African sights while learning about the nation's stormy past. Constitution Hill, a former prison-turned museum where political prisoners were once kept, is a stop on the tour. In Soweto you will visit:

Day 3: LESEDI CULTURAL VILLAGE/JOHANNESBURG

After finishing your tour of Johannesburg, head to Lesedi Cultural Village, a multicultural hamlet nestled among rocky hills that showcases the cultures, traditions, and customs of four South African tribes. Visit one of the village's four model homesteads representing the Zulu, Xhosa, Basotho, and Pedi ethnic groups, then have a guided tour after listening to a talk on its history and origins. All of the towns will perform old-time songs and dances in the afternoon. Visitors are encouraged to participate and display their artistic talents. Food from North, East, and Southern Africa is served during the Pan African Feast at the Nyama Choma restaurant. Towards the end of the day, head back to your lodging.

Day 4: JOHANNESBURG /KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Drive from Johannesburg to Kruger National Park early in the morning. Before continuing on to Mpumalanga, take a brief tour of Pretoria. You'll pass through numerous historic communities before arriving at Pilgrim's Rest, the first gold discovery. Arrive late in the day in Kruger. The Kruger National Park is located in Mpumalanga's center. The park, founded in 1889, is larger than Israel and Wales combined. This spectacular park is home to more than 146 animal species, 507 bird species, and 400 tree species. We check into your Lodge as soon as we arrive. Before your first evening wildlife drive, we'll take a tour of the lodge. After a late-night dinner, you will have time to unwind and enjoy the romantic sounds of the African night before retiring to your accommodations.

Day 5: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Take a game drive early in the morning in the Kruger National Park, which is home to a staggering array of animals. The "Big Five" (elephant, lion, tiger, and lion), as well as a wide range of other animals and birds, should be on your radar. The inn is the ideal place to unwind and have breakfast. We do a game drive in the late afternoon to see if we can find any more of the stunning animals that call this area home. In order to locate the fabled "Big 5", our Game Drive vehicles are radio-linked to other vehicles in the Park.

Day 6: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK/ JOHANNESBURG/ CAPE TOWN

Take an early morning game tour, then eat breakfast before returning to Johannesburg through the breathtaking "Panorama Route." After arrival, proceed to the airport to catch your aircraft to Cape Town. When you arrive in Cape Town, you will be welcomed, escorted, and driven to your accommodation.

Day 7: TABLE MOUNTAIN/ROBBEN ISLAND

Using a cable car to summit Table Mountain in the morning. The cutting-edge vehicle rotates 360 degrees as it ascends, affording a panoramic view of The City. Take brief strolls while appreciating the beautiful view of Cape Town from the pinnacle. Return to Cape Town after touring Table Mountain and board the ferry to Robben Island, where the late President Mandela spent many years in prison and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. You may spend your evening browsing the V & A Waterfront, Africa's largest retail complex.

Day 8: FULL DAY CAPE HIGHLIGHTS & TOWNSHIP

A day-long excursion to the Cape Peninsula. To reach Chapman's Peak and the Cape Point Nature Reserve, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans converge, you must travel down the Atlantic Coast. Before watching the penguins at Boulders Beach and returning to Cape Town through Simon's Town, visit the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. Arrive at Cape Town in the early evening or late afternoon. Meet the people of Langa, Cape Town's oldest official municipality, when you take a cultural tour of the Cape Townships this evening. You may study apartheid's legacy as well as the nation's struggle for democracy here. A one-of-a-kind lunch will be served this evening on private property.

After breakfast, you have the remainder of the morning free to indulge in leisure activities such as shopping. You will be transported to the airport in the late afternoon for your flight home with a connection in Johannesburg.
