Discover Nigeria – On this 7-day tour of Nigeria, visit the main commercial city of Lagos, the slave town of Badagry; purchase Batik fabrics in Otaku market; view the mysterious Esie soapstone statues. You are welcomed upon arrival in Lagos and driven to the hotel. Briefings on the tour and an introductory meal.

Day 2: LAGOS – BADAGRY – ABEOKUTA

After breakfast, depart Lagos towards Badagry along the coastal road west of Lagos near the border with the Benin Republic. Upon arrival, start your tour of Badagry, stopping at the old slave market, the museum and artifacts of the slave trade, Seriki Abbas' residence, Gberefu Beach (the site of the slave embarkation point), and more. Lunch is served at a city restaurant. After lunch, go to Abeokuta to see the famous Olumo rock, the Itoku market that sells "Adire" (batik) fabric, and the fetish stands at the market where traditional medicine is marketed.

Day 3: ABEOKUTA- IBADAN – OSHOGBO

Leave for Oshogbo after breakfast. When you are there, start your tour of Oshogbo. The capital and largest city of Osun State is Oshogbo, which is situated in an agricultural area where yams, cassava, maize, cotton, and tobacco are farmed. The annual celebration is held in Oshogbo beside the River Oxun. The sacred grove of the river goddess Oxun, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, serves as the focal point of the event. One of the last remaining areas of primary high forest in southern Nigeria is the dense woodland of the Oxun Sacred Grove.

The landscape of the grove and its meandering river are littered with sanctuaries and shrines, sculptures and art pieces in honor of Oxun and other deities. Oxun is regarded as the dwelling of the goddess of fertility Oxun, one of the pantheons of Yoruba gods. For all Yoruba people, the sacred grove serves as a symbol of identity. . It provides evidence of a once common practice of creating sacred groves outside all settlements. Visit the national museum and the historical attractions in Ile-Ife after lunch. The founding deities Oduduwa and Obatala started creating the universe at Ife, according to the Yoruba people, under the guidance of the supreme Deity Olodumare. After visiting, go back to the hotel.

Day 4: OSHOGBO / LOKOJA / ABUJA

Go to Abuja after breakfast. Visit the confluence of the Niger and Benue rivers in Lokoja when traveling there. Mount Patti, located at 900 meters, provides a panoramic view of the area surrounding Holy Trinity School, the first school to be built in Northern Nigeria by Bishop Ajayi Crowther.

The "Iron of Liberty," an iron pole designating the location where slaves who had been liberated from slave traders and won their freedom in the early 1800s, may be found on the school's grounds along with other noteworthy historical sites. Lunch is served at a city eatery. After lunch, continue on your way to Abuja by stopping in at fishing communities along the Niger River. When you get to Abuja, check into your hotel.

Day 5: ABUJA



ABUJA

Nigeria's capital, Abuja, was totally designed and built with a purpose. The location of the new capital was selected due to its strategic importance, ease of access, agreeable climate, low population density, and the availability of land for future growth.

A whole environment was built in addition to a city. There are lots of hills, highlands, Savannah grasslands, and tropical rainforests all around Abuja. After breakfast, take a tour of Abuja's city center, international conference center, Millennium Park, Christian center, national mosque, arts and crafts village, retail district, and other attractions. Tour completed, return to hotel.

Day 6: ABUJA – LAGOS

Transfer to the airport for your trip to Lagos after breakfast. On the Atlantic coast of West Africa, LAGOS (Eko local name), the thriving commercial capital of Nigeria founded around 1630, is made up of islands, a peninsula, and the mainland. The most populated city in Africa is Lagos Metropolitan, a global megacity with about 21 million inhabitants.

Upon arrival, start your thrilling sightseeing trip by taking a drive around the city's Lagos Island, Victoria Island, and Lekki Peninsula neighborhoods, stopping along the way at museums, Freedom Park, Brazilian Quarters, Eko Atlantic City, Tinubu Square, Nike Art Gallery, and Isale Eko Old. Lunch is served at a city eatery. The highlight is a boat trip on the lagoon with a 360-degree panorama of the city. shopping at Lekki International Market's gift shops.
