Arrive in Bujumbura, meet your guide, and travel to your accommodation. Begin a city trip in the afternoon, highlights include:

After breakfast, drive to Rusizi National Park, which is home to hippos, antelopes, and monkeys, as well as a variety of colorful birds. Look for the point where the Rusizi River drains into Lake Tanganyika. After that, go to the Explorers' Memorial, a massive rock in Bujumbura's suburbs honoring the meeting of explorers John Speke and Hanington. After a late lunch, go fishing at Rumonge port, located south of Bujumbura, and learn about the many fish species in Lake Tanganyika.

There are also conventional drums that Batimbo (drummers) might use to mark particular occasions in the country.
