Your tour begins in the bustling capital city of Accra, where you will be welcomed by warm Ghanaian hospitality. From there, you will travel to the coastal city of Cape Coast, where much of the story takes place. Here, you will visit the beautiful beaches and learn about the history of the slave trade in Ghana at the Cape Coast Castle.
Next, you will visit the charming town of Elmina. You will see the colorful fishing boats and visit the Elmina Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and learn about the colonial history of Ghana.
Throughout your tour, you will also have the opportunity to taste the delicious Ghanaian cuisine, which plays a significant role in the story. You will enjoy dishes such as jollof rice, banku, fufu, and kelewele.

You arrive at Kotoka International Airport, Accra, Ghana.
Accra is situated on the Gold Coast of Western Africa. This is the start of what will be an amazing journey that will live with you forever. After passing through immigration, you proceed to collect your luggage before heading to customs. You will be met just outside of customs and transferred to your hotel in our private, air-conditioned vehicle.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your butler with a welcome drink, who will check you into your room.

Your first full day in Ghana, after a sumptuous buffet breakfast at your hotel, we set off for the tour of Accra and vicinity, passing through the economic and administrative districts.
· James Town—one of Accra’s most historic neighborhoods, where history resides on every corner. Best known for its lighthouses (the first of which was constructed in 1875 by the British) as a navigational aid for trading vessels sailing through the Gulf of Guinea. The original structure was ruined but a larger and more improved lighthouse completed in 1921 is still functioning today.
· Independence Square where you will see the enclosed flame of African liberation, which was lit by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1961.
· Visit the W.E.B. DuBois Center honoring the life of one of the most prominent Pan-Africanists who chose to live and work in Ghana.
· Take a scenic walk through the famous Oxford street cladded with vibrant authentic African dresses, skirts, pants & jewellery. This evening, enjoy a intimate candle lit dinner for 2.

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel for a visit to Kakum National Park, Ghana’s most famous park. Take a brief walking tour on the forest floor where you will learn how our ancestors lived in the forest. See birds, and butterflies and perhaps catch a glimpse of the forests' over 40 species of mammals including monkeys and the reclusive forest elephant. Proceed to the canopy walk. Kakum is home to Africa’s only aerial walkway through the tree canopy, a 1000-foot-long and even-bridge walkway with viewing platforms that reach heights over 150 feet above the ground.
We would later visit Cape Coast castle, a UNESCO world heritage site. The castle is a thought-provoking monument to a harrowing period in the region’s history. You will take an emotional journey through the castle which held more enslaved Africans than any other in the region, viewing the dungeons and the infamous “Door of no return”. There is a significant historical museum inside, which explains the history of the castle and of Cape Coast itself. You can purchase literature on Ghana’s forts and castles, as well as the cultural history and traditions of Ghana. Next, we visit Elmina Castle another World Heritage site.

After breakfast, you will depart the bustling city of Accra to Ada Foah, for an exclusive luxurious experience at Aqua Safari Resort, a top eco-friendly luxury getaway resort in the heart of Ada Foah, located 2 hours drive away from Ghana’s capital, Accra. This is where you enjoy an ideal blend of a stunning beach, picturesque village tours, topped off with some sun. You will also unravel a rich and inspiring history of the local people.
Continue to Ada Foah, arriving in time for a mouth-watering dinner (prepared with fresh farm produce) which you can take right at the beach or taken from the serene chalet garden. There is a chance to be part of exciting events happening at the hotel which may include watching beautiful orange flames flicker into the Ada night sky as the resort fetes you with an excellent night with the DJ’s special playlist.
