The 2-hour travel to Kinigi in the Parc National des Volcans for the first gorilla trek requires an early start. When you arrive, Park Headquarters officials will meet you and train you on proper gorilla tracking conduct. After that, trackers will lead you into the wooded hills in search of one of the Mountain Gorilla clans. The journey to the gorillas might take minutes or hours. Before spending the night, return to Mountain Gorillas Nest Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, see the beautiful twin volcanic lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

Today is your second Gorilla tracking. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Kigali (212 hours) to spend the night in Hotel Milles Collines or a comparable establishment.
The Milles Collines is well-known as the refuge that saved hundreds of lives during the genocide. It's mostly the same. It features an excellent pool and a rooftop restaurant, and it has recently gained international acclaim with the publication of the poignant feature film 'Hotel Rwanda,' which is set in the hotel during those harrowing days.
