Day 1:

ARRIVE IN CASABLANCA, MOROCCO

International flight arrives Casablanca . You are met , assisted and transferred to you hotel. Refresh and relax before afternoon tour of Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital . In the evening , depart to Rabat for dinner and overnight. Visit the administrative capital of Morocco.

Day 2:

FES

After breakfast and a short tour of Rabat , the administrative capital of Morocco, depart to Fes with a stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss I, where the founder of Islam in Morocco is buried. After lunch, depart to Meknes , “the Moroccan Versailles”. Continue to Fes. Dinner and overnight in Fes.

Day 3:

FES

Tour Fes, the oldest cultural and spiritual Imperial City of Morocco. After lunch, visit the Arabian House to observe various craftsmen performing their work using ancient techniques. Dinner and overnight in Fes.

Day 4:

ARRIVE MARRAKECH

After breakfast, depart to Marrakech passing by Immouzer El Kander and Azrou, a Berber village known for its Handicrafts Cooperative. Continue through the wooded and mountainous region of Fes passing through Beni-Mellal. Continue to Marrakesh for dinner and overnight.

Day 5:

MARRAKESH

Tour of Marrakesh, the second oldest Imperial City known as the “Pearl of the South”. In the afternoon, explore the Souks and the world famous Djemma El Fna Palace with its various entertainments. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6:

DEPART TO MALI

After breakfast, morning free for leisure or personal exploration before afternoon, return to Casablanca for dinner and late night departure to Bamako, Mali.

Day 7:

ARRIVE BAMAKO, MALI

Flight arrives in Bamako. You are met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. Leisurely day to adjust to the new surroundings. Bamako city tour: start at Point G with a panoramic overview of the city.Visit the National Museum, the city market and the artisans’ village, where you will see local craftsmen at work: silversmiths, woodcarvers, weavers, and leatherworkers; overnight in Bamako.

MOPTI

Drive to Mopti stopping at points of interest. Evening tour of Mopti. Dinner and overnight

DJENNE

Day trip to Djenne on its weekly market day, when Djenne is at its colorful best; stroll around the market stalls, Observe the magnificent Grand Mosque, the world’s largest Mud- brick architecture and one of Unesco’s World Heritage sites; Return to Mopti for overnight.

Day 10:

DOGON VILLAGE

After breakfast, drive on to fascinating Dogon country; visit the Dogon village Songo, renowned for its rock paintings and circumcision grotto; continue to Sangha, on the edge of the Bandiagara escarpment; overnight in Sangha

Day 11:

DOGON VILLAGE

Descend the Bandiagara escarpment to visit the villages of Banani (note the ancient Tellem cave dwellings in the cliff face), Ireli, Amani (visit the sacred crocodile sanctuary), and Tireli, where you may see a traditional Dogon mask dance; return to and overnight in Sangha.

DOGON / SEGOU

Visit Sangha, Ogols and Bongo; see the traditional women’s house, the sacrificial altar of the Hogon (the Dogon people’s traditional and religious leader); visit a Dogon seer; In the afternoon depart Dogon Country and drive to Segou for dinner and overnight.

TOUR OF SEGOU

Tour of Segou, Mali’s second largest city and Sokoro, ancient capital of the Bambara kingdom, now just a sleepy village on the Niger river; see the tomb of King Biton Coulibaly; after lunch, return to Bamako for dinner and overnight.

SEGOU / BAMAKO / DEPART

Today decide on your activities with the assistance of your driver and guide before final departure from Mali.
