Our operations staff has extensive experience in all aspects of tourism including tour guides, tour managers, travel agents, hotel professionals, tourism policy- making, in addition to in-depth knowledge of the local cultures, languages and traditions.

Mariam Traore is one of our “lifers” (those who started with the company from inception). She is quite at home in travel and tourism, the industry where she has spent all her professional life.
Mariam has an encyclopedic knowledge of hotels throughout West and Central Africa, and can be relied on to extract the last room in that “sold out” property.
She is fluent in French and English as well as several regional dialects, which accounts for the ease with which she usually secures your preferred accommodation, whether in a big-city 5-star property or the small remotely located guest house.
Ibrahima Dembele was born in Bamako and studied law at University of Bamako before his interest in tourism was ignited. In addition to his detailed knowledge of Mali's festivals, celebrations and cultural events, Ibra is our Flight Reservation Expert who will get you the last seat on that "sold out' domestic or regional flight.
Christian Mensah Anang holds a degree in Travel and Tourism Management and is currently continuing his education at the University of Ghana for a degree in Public Administration.

 

During his five years with Continent Tours Chris has visited several regions in Ghana, in addition to Togo and Benin.

Chris has always been eager to respond to clients’ enquiries with professionalism and knowledge.

In October 2011 Chris will begin a year-long National Service assignment at the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare.

Ousmane Guindo, our Tours and Meeting Planning Manager was born in Anakila, a small Dogon village in Mali. (The Dogons are found in no other country except Mali). Guindo lived in several villages while his father, a teacher frequently moved the family to wherever his civil service career led.  Growing up in different regions of Mali gave Guindo a working knowledge of the cultures, languages and customs of several Malian ethnic groups. He is a graduate of the University of Bamako where he studied languages. In addition to French, he speaks English fluently and is quite comfortable with the German language.Guindo's career in the hospitality industry started with the international hotel group Kempinski, which allowed him to travel for extended periods in Chad, Switzerland and Spain. He has led tours in Mali, Burkina Faso and Guinea.
His love for adventure, the outdoors and meeting people from different cultures resulted in Kempinski’s loss and Continent Tours good fortune. Guindo is never satisfied unless all aspects of your tour or conference exceed your expectations.
Guindo looks forward to welcoming you to Mali and West Africa.
Issah Alhassan attended high school in Northern Ghana before returning home to Accra where he earned a degree in Hospitality Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).He has traveled extensively throughout Ghana’s ten regions, and has worked in Continent Tours’ Mali office before rejoining our Ghana bureau.Issah looks forward to providing our clients with professional Destination Management Services in Ghana and throughout West Africa.

Joshua Doe started with Continent Tours in 2007, bringing with him over five years of experience in the African Travel Industry. Having traveled and lived in North America and Europe, he brought a unique perspective to the creation of travel experiences that kept our clients coming back again and again. 

A graduate of the University of Ghana, Joshua managed our Ghana operations until January 2012 when he returned to his first love, academia, and has opted to serve Continent Tours in an advisory role.

 

 

Nawaru Fuseini is a career tourism professional with over nine years experience in the tour and travel industry in Ghana and West Africa. He has planned, implemented and guided tours for thousands of satisfied clients from all over the world, and has earned a well deserved reputation for keen attention to detail.

With a management degree from Regent University and in-depth   knowledge of Ghana’s tourism industry, Nawaru is superbly equipped to assume responsibilities for product development and the overall operations of our Ghana bureau.
Mamadou Goita was born in Sikasso, Mali’s breadbasket in the southern Region.  He is a graduate of the University of Bamako where he studied literature and languages.Goita is fluent in English and French and possesses an advanced comfort level with German.His experience in the hotel and tourism industry, together with his vast knowledge of West African tourism has prepared him to be our General Manager stationed in Mali.A West African Travel Expert, Goita has arranged customized tours to several countries in the region. In addition to Mali, he has led tours in Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Liberia, Senegal and The Gambia, and has visited Sierra Leone and Niger. Goita travels frequently to Western Europe where he introduces travel professionals to the wonders of West Africa.
